Danish Exams 1, 2 and 3 are the conclusion to the courses DU1, DU2 and DU3.

Knowledge tests
Test dates for the knowledge tests winter term 2024:
Registration opens 1 June 2024
Test date: 27 November 2024
Registration closes on 23 October.
Registration: Students at AOF Job & Dansk sign up with their teacher. Independent students can sign up at the nearest language school.
Remember valid ID: Valid ID with photo is required to enter the examination. See all requirements (in Danish)

Complaints guidance (Announcement on tests within Danish education for adult foreigners etc.):
Section 55. Complaints about conditions during tests are submitted by the test participant to the manager of the provider holding the test. The complaint, which must be in writing and justified, can relate to the test basis, the test course, including the examiner’s and censor’s dispositions, and assessment of the test.
PCS. 2. The complaint must be submitted no later than four weeks after the assessment of the test has taken place and the grade has been communicated to the test taker.
PCS. 3. The manager of the provider holding the test submits complaints about the test basis to the Agency for International Recruitment and Integration
General information about the tests for the Danish courses
All exams consist of an oral and written part and covers four “areas”:
- Reading comprehension
- Written presentation
- Listening comprehension
- Oral communication
The longer you get in the education, the higher the expectations og requrements for your abilities and Danish language competences will be.
The exams test the individual`s competences in the Danish language in order to assess whether the person has obtained a sufficient Danish language upgrade or not. E.g. has the competences to get a job, being accepted to an education, or to obtain a permanent residence permit (Active Citizen) or Danish citizenship (Citizenship).
